Shoulder Caps & Protection The shoulders are outfitted with plastic inserts covered front to back in polyethylene foam, which is a common foam choice for many shoulder pad manufacturers. The combination offers great protection while keeping you comfortable. Sternum and Spine Protection These pads use polyethylene foam over the torso in a lateral ribbed pattern, with plastic inserts placed in key areas. The protective layer will shield your sternum and spine against injury and traumatic hits from skirmishes and battles on the ice. The laces on the front and back of the pads can be used for additional fitting and contour around your torso, and more modern velcro straps can be found on the sides for convenience.
